Design and Development
Based on theory, empirical research, technology affordances and constraints, professional experiences, and best practices, I try to design and develop learning situations that make use of different technologies (e.g., time-compression) and instructional strategies (e.g., feedback) for technology-enhanced learning environments. I select or create learning assessments to gauge the learning outcomes of these environments. Generally, I am trying to utilize the affordances of the technology to test and extend existing theory to explain my results. I have studied a multitude of things, like time-compression, feedback, and interactive games.
